Quatuor Ebène

Quarteto Ebène

“A string quartet that can easily morph into a jazz band,” is how The New York Times describes the Quatuor Ebène, a French group admired for the freshness of their interpretations of a classical and contemporary repertoire that includes jazz.
Since its founding, in 1999, the group has built a brilliant career on the basis of striking presentations and award-winning albums. The honors the group has won include the Gramophone, the Echo Klassik and the MIDEM Classical Award.
In 2005, the group received the Forberg-Schneider Foundation’s Belmont Prize, an award that distinguishes leading performers of various artistic expressions that combine intelligence with innovation.
The Quatuor Ebène graces the stages of the most esteemed concert rooms such as Wigmore Hall, in London, and the Herkulessaal, in Munich.
