Kazuhito Yamashita classical guitar

With over 78 albums to his name (LPs and CDs), Kazuhito Yamashita (born in Nagasaki in 1961) has a vast repertoire. In 1977, at age 16, he won important competitions in Spain, Italy and France, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Paris International Guitar Competition.
His arrangements for guitar are stunning and diverse, blending such works as “Pictures at an Exhibition” (Mussorgski) and “New World Symphony” (Dvorák) with pieces by Bach and Stravinsky. His performances showcase his original and unrivalled technique, coaxing new perspectives out of works composed for other instruments which no other musician has been able to unlock.
