Elisso Virsaladze

Elisso Virsaladze piano

Known as one of the greatest contemporary
interpreters of Schumann, the pianist Elisso
Virsaladze was born in Georgia in 1942.
She studied in Moscow under the legendary
professors Heinrich Neuhaus and Yakov
Zak, who passed on the great tradition of the
Russian school of piano, making her the recognized
piano professor she is today. Graced
with natural technique, Elisso has performed
throughout Europe, interpreting such classics
as Mozart and Beethoven and pieces by
modern composers, including the Russians
Prokofiev and Shostakovich.
