Basel Chamber Orchestra

Giovanni Antonini regência
Sol Gabetta violoncelo

Founded in Switzerland in 1984, the Basel
Chamber Orchestra, which combines the classical
and modern in a rare blend, is today one
of the most sought-after ensembles on the European
scene. On its visit to São Paulo in 2010,
with the extraordinary Franco-Argentine cellist
Sol Gabetta, the company enchanted the public
and critics alike with one of the most enthusiastically
applauded performances of the season.
In 2014, the ensemble returns under the baton
of the renowned Italian conductor and flutist,
Giovanni Antonini, one of the chamber orchestra’s
most frequent collaborators.
