Kent Nagano | Conductor
Gautier Capuçon | Cello
Mihoko Fujimura | Mezzosoprano

The Hamburg Philharmonic, founded in 1828, is present in nearly all the productions of opera and ballet in that city, besides maintaining its own agenda of concerts. Its programming spans the entire symphonic repertoire, from Mozart to Olivier Messiaen.
In 2015, Kent Nagano, the musical director of the Montréal Symphony Orchestra and the main guest conductor of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, took over the direction of the Hamburg Opera and Philharmonic, debuting with Berlioz’s opera The Trojans.
Gautier Capuçon brilliantly masters symphonic as well as chamber works. Mihoko Fujimura won several singing competitions before launching her international career. In 2014, she received the Purple Ribbon Medal of Honour from the Japanese government for her contribution to the development of art at her home country.
