It is not often that the universe of classical music produces celebrities. The chinese pianist Lang Lang is an exception. His albums are among the top sellers not only in classical music, but also in pop. His schedule for 2011-2012 includes both the concert commemorating the centenary of the San Francisco Symphony and the closing night of the BBC Proms in London. Beyond the success in major venues around the world, Lang Lang is the youngest member of the Advisory Board of the well-known Carnegie Hall, in New York.
