First orchestra of her country to win a Grammy award, in 2004, the National Russian Orchestra was founded in 1990. The following year, the group would record in studio what the prestigious Gramophone magazine considered the best recording ever made of Tchaikovsky's "Pathetic Symphony". Today, with a discography of more than 70 titles, the orchestra frequently tours Asia, Europe and the Americas. In São Paulo, they perform under the command of Uruguayan conductor and composer José Serebrier, featuring a very special appearance from the award-winning Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire.
