Dresden Philharmonic
Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos Conductor
Johannes Moser Cello

“An orchestra that can rightly claim a connection to Brahms.”
—The New York Times, New York

A happy combination of talents brings together the centenary Dresden Philharmonic orchestra, the Spanish conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, and the German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser. Since 2004, Frühbeck de Burgos has been responsible for the musical conduction and artistic direction of the German ensemble, which has historically performed under the baton of Brahms, Dvorák and Richard Strauss. Moser, who performs under conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel and Pierre Boulez, has been hailed by Gramophone Magazine as “one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists.”
