ZUBIN MEHTA - CONDUCTOR
The legendary Toscanini conducted the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on its première in 1936.
Since then, the group has been led by Leonard Bernstein and Kurt Masur, to mention only a few. Countless first league soloists have also taken part in the concerts.
Zubin Mehta is the orchestra's musical director since 1977. Conductor of exceptional talent and career, he was the musical director of the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestras, as well as the Baviera Opera.
