Emerson String Quartet has paved an unparalleled path in the sophisticated universe of string quartets.

In the course of 30 years of intense activities in recording studios and presenting to audiences all over the world, the group has collected several prizes, among which are eight Grammys – two for best classical music album – and the Avery Fisher Prize – the classical music equivalent of the Academy Awards. Magnificent in the performance of the chamber works of Beethoven, Bartók and Shostakovich, the Emerson String Quartet has also been performing with great artists of our time.
