MAREK JANOWSKI - CONDUCTOR
JEAN-YVES THIBAUDET - PIANO
Orchestre de la Suisse Romande has been giving a great contribution to the history of 20th century music. In its almost centenary existence, it has discovered and supported new composers, such as Débussy and Stravinsky.
The orchestra continues this admirable work in looking for opportunities to excel: since 2000, it has performed in more than 20 world premières, as well as many tours around Europe, Asia and the United States.
Under the artistical and musical command of the well-known Polish conductor Marek Janowski, the orchestra will have the French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet as a soloist for the São Paulo concerts. He is known all over the world for his interpretations of refined poetic content and confirmed lyric mastery. Thibaudet has been performing for many years in recitals in the best music halls and, as a concert soloist, he is very demanded by orchestras, conductors and festivals of international prestige.
