Israel Symphony Orchestra was created in 1998 by the mayor of Rishon le Zion, a city which is part of the metropolitan Tel Aviv. Only two years later, the orchestra became the residing group of the New Israel Opera. Since the young Israeli conductor Dan Ettinger became the artistic and musical director of the group, in 2005, the Israel Symphony Orchestra has confirmed its place amongst the best orchestral groups in the country. Made up of the best young Israeli musicians, as well as musicians who have immigrated to Israel, the orchestra has conquered in only a few years an expressive and new sonority. This has earned them the applause of the Israeli and European audiences to which they have performed. The praise of the critics to the group have been eloquent:

“Dan Ettinger on the podium, as always, produces magic with the Israel Symphonic Orchestra.”
(Jerusalem Post).

“He produces wonders with the orchestras he conducts – without apparent efforts, as if it were a child's game.”
(Jerusalem Post).

“Ettinger's talent is astonishing. His veins are full of music to flow, not blood.”
(Ora Binur – Ma'ariv).

Name on the rise amongst the young conductors of our time, Dan Ettinger has also been conducting prestigious orchestras as an invited musician. In Cultura Artística's 2008 season, he will conduct Israel Symphony Orchestra in the Last Four Songs by Richard Strauss, with the soprano Sylvie Valayre, and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, with invited choir and soloists.
